Back in 2004, Michael bought his first point and shoot digital camera. Since then he briefly embraced the lomographic movement, discovered film and recently started shooting and developing true black and white.

Michael began a correspondence course late last year with the New York Institute of Photography which has helped him to see photos before he takes them and approach his photography with more of a purpose.

Although he is still searching for his niche as a photographer, of late, Michael has been shooting photo essays as well as some studio work and portraiture.

Seng Mah

Seng photographs life in Dullsville (aka Perth), with the aim of showing the world that the city and State is anything but (dull). His photographs show us the way individuals see themselves, and the relationships they form with their communities and with their environments. Subject-wise, he favours street photographs, portraits (formal, casual and candid), events, action shots, with the odd landscape with human figures thrown in.

Seng currently photographs events for Swimming WA and has photographed surflifesaving events for North Cottesloe SLSC and Cottesloe SLSC. He is generally available for event photography, weddings, parties, anything creative and challenging.

Seng ‘shoots digitally and with film, and maintains Light Box WA, a photography blog of events, opportunities and resources for WA photographers.
