Since launching his career as an proscribed visual artist in 1984, Mills has carved a distinctive niche for his work that has seen him showcased internationally to critical acclaim. His work has crossed many boundaries with representation in exhibitions in London, Birmingham , Berlin, Los Angeles, Melbourne and Perth.
His solo exhibitions held in Perth in 1999 and 2003 were hugely successful with both shows selling out on opening night and resulting in numerous private commissions. In 2002 he achieved a Commendation Award in the highly competitive “City of Perth Invitational Art Award” and in May 2005 was invited to London as a guest speak at the London Institute of Contemporary Arts to launch the Thames & Hudson publication “Graffiti World”. Late in 2006 he will present works in Tokyo and Taipei before returning to his third solo show in Perth in May 2007 followed by another in Melbourne in July of the same year.
He has been commissioned to create works in both Los Angles and London and in 2002 was invited to create large scale murals across Greece in preparation for the Olympics.
Mills’ work is a deeply personal narrative about emotions captured in the layers of his works, depictions from intense observations of the texture of life to engage and challenge the viewer to explore beyond the surface to find real beauty amidst the decay.

Stormie – knew from when you breakdancing in the 80’s with Darrell o the cardboard and both practicing your art expertise that you would go far. You’ve overcome a lot in our life – very proud of you – amazing work – I’ve only recently seen the atricle in the magazine in the West Australian last Saturday. Had been trying to contact you via a mobile number from Darrell. Hope all goes well for you in all you do – you deserve the success you have now achieved.
Would love to catch up with you – now back in Perth as well.

Hi Stormie
Our CEO says you are familiar with Youth Focus and our work with youth at risk. You attended one of our balls a while ago. Could you contact me regarding Youth Week in March 09 as I have an event I would like to discuss with you. Cheers Amanda.

I work in a Youth Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation program. We’ve got some young guys at the moment who are really into their sketching but want to translate their stuff to a wall. If you are running any workshops or can come and visit please let us know. love your work, really tansportive.
I am a student at a local school around Perth and am trying to comvince the council to build a graffiti wall so young people can do pieces there. If the project goes through i would love if you could come down and judge some. Could you email me at disturbedniteof_round@hotmail.com if you could come down? Thanx.
